Hi there, I’m Theophilus, the founder of FreeWPFix.com. My journey with FreeWPFix began in 2022, rooted in my involvement in the WordPress community in Nigeria.
In the year 2022, I got approved as a meetup organizer for my local community and promoted as a locale manager for WordPress Yoruba language in Nigeria. Through these roles, I engaged with individuals and WordPress meetup groups, offering assistance with website development and management.
During my interactions, I noticed a significant gap: many people in Nigeria were unaware of the WordPress.org CMS, its versatility in building various solutions, and its potential as a source of income. Most were only familiar with WordPress.com. This lack of awareness has contributed to why some Nigerians have not been actively involved in the global WordPress community. Determined to address this issue, I conducted research to explore how I could make a meaningful impact.
Thus, FreeWPFix was born. Initially, before the name, I provided support under different guises, but it wasn’t until early 2024 that the name FreeWPFix crystallized, symbolizing my commitment to providing free and accessible website fix services to WordPress website owners in Nigeria.
Our mission is clear: to promote WordPress adoption in Nigeria by offering free website fix services to Nigerians who need them most. Whether you’re a small business owner, a blogger, or a non-profit organization, FreeWPFix is here to help you succeed online.
Why We do this?
- Increasing Awareness: By providing free website fix services, we are inherently raising awareness about WordPress and its capabilities. Many individuals and businesses in Nigeria may not have realized the potential of WordPress for building websites or generating income. Through our services, they’re introduced to the platform and its possibilities.
- WordPress Ecosystem: Access to professional website fix services can be costly, especially in regions with limited resources like Nigeria. By offering free fixes, we are lowering the financial barrier to entry for WordPress users. This means more people can afford to build and maintain their websites effectively, contributing to the growth of the WordPress ecosystem in Nigeria.
- Building Community: Our commitment to providing free fix services aligns with the community-driven nature of WordPress. By actively engaging with users and offering professional assistance, we fostering a sense of community among WordPress users in Nigeria. This can lead to increased participation in local WordPress meetups, contributions to the WordPress core, and the growth of a supportive network for WordPress enthusiasts in the country.
